I hardly ever use the spell function like that, so hadn't seen it in Word yet. Indeed, the contextual menu right click do not have the very useful language set and spellcheck item which were very convenient, not even in compatibility mode.

You have two options: 1 In you can dock or make float the speller and click resume every time needed 2 you can add the spellcheck buttons either the one with the dropdown or the quick launch for the speller only.
